Glorniwa

Early, dessert variety of blackberry with sweet, large fruits, suitable for direct consumption, processing, or confectionery products. The shrub grows moderately strong, and the stems are thornless. It is floricane variety, fruits early in the season. In protected cultivation, fruiting begins in early June, while in open-field plantations, it occurs between June and July. The fruits are large (average weight 7.2 g, max 10.5 g), glossy, sweet (12% Brix), tasty, with a characteristic forest aftertaste. Due to good firmness, the fruits store well and are suitable for transportation. The variety is characterized by low susceptibility to blackberry anthracnose; however, preventive measures against this disease in the form of chemical treatments are recommended. Standard protection against the raspberry beetle is also advised.
