Megan ( NR 1711902 )

NR 1711902 has been submitted to the registry with the proposed trade name: 'Megan’. This cultivar is dedicated to the production of dessert fruits. The ripening of fruits on two-year-old canes for this variety occurs in the early term, in the second half of June. Ripening on current-year canes begins in early September. The bushes are characterized by high productivity, with an average yield of 2.1 kg per plant. The fruits are large, with an average weight of 2.5 g, very shiny, well-shaped, firm, and have small drupelets. They exhibit long post-harvest durability. Plant growth is strong, with stiff stems and limited thorns. The fruits have a high extract content (13.5% Brix). Based on conducted experiments, it has been observed that this cultivar has low susceptibility to diseases and pests such as aphids, Raspberry Bushy Dwarf Virus (RBDV), fungal diseases of stems and roots, and high resistance to drought.
